Isager Aran Tweed is a chunkier single ply yarn with a rugged but quality structure

It is well suited for thick outdoor sweaters or  scarf and also works really well used for soft furnishings such as plaids and cuisions.

Worked together with either Silk Mohair or Alpaca 1 the yarn blends and softens, increasing its versatility.

A smaller colour pallet than some other Isager yarns but a strong base that can be increased and developed when held with other fibres.

Since 1977, Isager, a Danish company, has been furnishing the knitting world with natural fibre yarns and unique patterns. Founded by Marianne Isager, in partnership with her daughter Helga, the company has produced a successful line of knitting books and quality yarns, available in selected stores worldwide. Their story began with Åse Lund Jensen, who drew inspiration from Icelandic and Faroes knitting cultures, crafting a high-quality wool range still cherished today, including her favorites, Spinni and Jensen Yarn. Åse's pioneering spirit continues to influence the brand, driving Isager's commitment to knitting as a recognized craft. Today, Isager, residing in the picturesque village of Tversted, Jutland, offers not just yarns, but also a rich tradition and timeless patterns. We stock Isager not only for their gorgeous and unique offerings, but also for their commitment to sustainable and ethical practices in the creation of their products.
